As most of you know, although I shoot mostly in digital, I also use film regularly-especially medium format film. It's quite common that if I use both my digital camera and my film camera on a shoot, the best shots-the real keepers- would happen to be the few shots on film. Of course, there are plenty of possible reasons for that but I don't want to discuss them now.
Today I had a roll of film developped, 12 shots from 3 different photo sessions...
I had almost forgotten what was on them. This is one of the things I love with film.
You keep it for a while inside your camera, then you keep it for some time before bringing it to the lab...and then a few a few more hours or days before actually getting the negatives.
This is just magic.
Ghosts coming back from your past. Appearing on a light table. Resuscitating in your scanner. Making their comeback on a screen...
Oh, how I love film.
