Wuhan,
as days go by
A series of 24 colour photographs.
“Wuhan is a city barely smaller than Paris, in the heart of China.
Since I was staying in a suburbian University Campus, I had to travel daily to the city centre where I worked.
This everyday journey between the suburb and downtown helped me capture the many faces of life in China.
All these images were shot between 2006 & 2007 and represent different areas of the city. This work has no intention of showing a collection of glamorous postcards of the city but should rather be seen as an attempt to draw the portrait of the daily life of the city,
sharing the colours, scents and rythm of a chinese city, between urbanity and rurality.”
